Weatherization program saves Georgia family

The Jones family was experiencing high energy bills and serious health and safety issues with their home. The Weatherization Assistance Program improved their home's efficiency and comfort, fixed a major gas leak, and installed smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.

Savannah Technical College to participate in Solar for Schools Program

The Solar for Schools Program will provide students the opportunity to enter the workforce specializing in electrical applications of installing, inspecting, and repairing solar panels. Savannah Technical College (Savannah Tech) was selected to participate in the program and received a $233,000 matching grant.

Charge Georgia incentivizes EV charging stations in Sandy Springs

The Charge Georgia Program—created by the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority (GEFA)—incentivized cities, counties, and universities to install electric vehicle charging stations. The city of Sandy Springs participated in the program and installed two charging stations in Hammond Park.
