GEFA COVID-19 Update
Due to the COVID-19 virus, GEFA staff are working remotely—with minimal staff in the office—to ensure our programs continue operating smoothly.
The Fiscal Services Division provides a variety of financial services for Georgia communities.
Accounting, financial underwriting, and loan servicing including reviewing and recommending loan awards, are the division’s responsibilities. The Fiscal Services Division also ensures compliance with agency, state and federal fiscal policies and procedures.
- Performs credit analyses
- Provides reimbursements for loan project expenses
- Processes loan payments
- Calculates loan repayment figures and accrued construction-period loan interest
- Monitors borrowers for proper debt service coverage
- Reviews compliance limits for GEFA customers
Fiscal Services team members provide consultations to communities on loan underwriting; prepare and submit financial reports of GEFA's activities to state and federal authorities; process invoices for GEFA expenses; monitor division accounts; and manage the agency's budget.
