Report Fraud, Waste, and Abuse

Fraud, waste, and abuse involve improper, unethical, or potentially unlawful activities that misuse public funds, resources, or authority.

• Fraud involves intentional deception or misrepresentation for personal or financial gain.
• Waste involves the unnecessary or inefficient use of public funds, resources, or property.
• Abuse involves improper use of authority, position, or resources that results in an improper benefit or undermines public trust.

Reporting suspected fraud, waste, and abuse helps GEFA protect public funds, promote accountability and transparency, and ensure that resources are used for their intended purposes. Reports provide an opportunity for concerns to be reviewed and, when appropriate, addressed.
