GEFA's water and sewer financing programs offer low-interest financing for drinking water, reservoir and water supply, water quality, stormwater and solid waste infrastructure.

GEFA Water 101 Webinar: Principal Forgiveness in the Georgia State Revolving Fund – New Approaches

Loan applicants that meet certain criteria are not required to repay the full loan amount. In this webinar, GEFA staff shared insight with potential borrowers about GEFA’s revised processes for determining principal forgiveness. GEFA Water 101 Webinar: Federal Requirements of the State Revolving Fund

GEFA staff familiarized potential borrowers with the requirements the federal government places on State Revolving Fund (SRF) loans through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. Speakers reviewed the longstanding SRF requirements and provided an overview of newer requirements, including environmental review, Davis-Bacon wages, and Build America Buy America (BABA).
