Maintenance, Regulatory Compliance Program, and Training
Proper maintenance helps state agencies safely operate fuel storage tanks.
The FSTP's Operations and Preventive Maintenance initiatives consist of annual site visits, inspections, repairs, and leak detection and monitoring.
The required maintenance documentation is provided below:

Assistance is available to state agencies with inspections, monitoring, registration, and training.
REGULATORY INSPECTIONS
The FSTP provides assistance to state-owned facilities with required regulatory documents prior to inspections and during on-site inspections.

ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING
The FSTP has installed INCON Tank Sentinel-1001 (TS-1001) at most state-owned facilities to perform weekly leak detection tests that the sites monitor. For more information on the INCON TS-1001, click here .
ANNUAL TANK REGISTRATION
All regulated USTs located at state-owned facilities must be registered annually. A copy of the current certificate must be displayed at the site by January 1 of each year.
