Georgia Energy Investment Fund
Low-interest loans to fund home energy efficiency upgrades.
The Georgia Energy Investment Fund (GEIF) provides Georgians access to low-interest loans ranging from $3,000 to $50,000 for home energy efficiency improvements. All projects will also include a home energy assessment designed to measure the benefits of the upgrades.
To get started, complete the Request for Energy Assessment form.
GEFA has partnered with the National Energy Improvement Fund (NEIF) to lead the program, which is funded by the U.S. Department of Energy's Energy Efficiency Revolving Loan Fund Capitalization Grant Program.
Contractor Survey
Program-approved contractors are critical to helping Georgians benefit from these upgrades. GEFA has developed a brief survey to gauge contractor interest in the program.
Contractors that already participate in Georgia’s Home Energy Rebates, Weatherization Assistance Program, or an energy efficiency utility program are especially encouraged to learn more about becoming an approved contractor. However, contractors that provide the following services are also invited to complete the survey (even if they are not currently participating in a residential energy efficiency program):
- Heating and cooling installation
- Hot water heater installation
- Insulation
- Air sealing
- Windows
- Residential solar
- Residential energy
