The Georgia Environmental Finance Authority (GEFA) will conduct a public hearing on the submittal of the 2026-2027 Weatherization State Plan Application for the U.S. Department of Energy Weatherization Assistance Program for Low-Income Persons as provided for under the Energy Policy and Conservation Act (P.L. 94-385).

The purpose of the hearing is to accept public comments on the proposed 2026-2027 Weatherization Assistance Program State Plan for Georgia. The hearing will be held virtually and in person at 47 Trinity Ave SW, Fifth Floor, Atlanta, GA 30334 on August 24, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Participants joining remotely will be able to give public comment by Zoom or call in at:

The hearing is held pursuant to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations and Section 440.14 of the Rules and Regulations of the Weatherization Assistance Program for Low-Income Persons. Participants can submit comments through the mail or electronically. Written comments should be mailed to GEFA, Energy Resources Division, 47 Trinity Ave SW, Fifth Floor, Atlanta, GA 30334. Electronic comments can be submitted to [email protected]. All comments will be received by August 21, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.
