The Georgia Environmental Finance Authority (GEFA) and the Georgia Environmental Protection Division will hold a public meeting on August 18, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the GEFA boardroom. GEFA is located at 47 Trinity Ave SW, Fifth Floor, Atlanta, GA 30334. The purpose of the public meeting is to present and receive comments on the FY2024 and FY2025 CWSRF and DWSRF Emerging Contaminants (EC) Intended Use Plans (IUPs) and the FY2024 and FY2025 Small or Disadvantaged Community (SDC) Workplans.

GEFA administers the CWSRF and DWSRF, which are federal low-interest loan programs that help local governments finance water and wastewater infrastructure projects to protect public health and enhance water quality. The CWSRF EC, DWSRF EC, and SDC grants were made available through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) to address exposure to PFAS and other emerging contaminants in public drinking water and wastewater systems.
