Cordele awarded $1.8 million loan for wastewater system infrastructure
Cordele, Georgia, was awarded financing totaling $1,815,000 for wastewater infrastructure improvements by the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority (GEFA) executive committee.
The $1,815,000 Georgia Fund loan will finance rehabilitating the wastewater treatment plant. This project will prevent overflow and allow the system to comply with effluent limits. The city will pay 1.63% interest on the 20-year loan.
