Prior to joining GEFA in 2004, Jones worked at the Georgia Department of Labor as a classification and compensation analyst. She also previously worked at the Georgia Department of Law as a bankruptcy and tax paralegal and as an administrator at an Atlanta-based consulting firm specializing in executive leadership and organizational development.

Jones is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and the Georgia Council for Human Resources. She has earned the professional in human resources (PHR) certification and the SHRM certified professional (SHRM-CP) designation. Jones is a certified mediator for the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution. She also completed the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity in Action (IDEA) coaching certification with Turknett Leadership Group and Personality Matters Inc. 

Jones earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Georgia State University and a master’s degree in human resources management from Troy State University.

Jones lives in a suburb southeast of Atlanta.
