Deaton Spring enclosure protects water source for Polk County, Ga.

The Polk County Water Authority received a $1.2 million Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) loan by the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority (GEFA) to finance an enclosure for Deaton Spring, which supplies 70 percent of the county's drinking water.

The authority received a 20-year loan with a 1.40 percent interest rate.
